Making Group Reservations

The Southern African American Heritage Center is very excited that you are planning a visit to our center.  Our mission is to promote, preserve and document African American history in Chesterfield County, South Carolina.

Reservations are taken on a first come, first serve basis and must be made at least four weeks in advance.  One teacher is admitted free per class.

How to Register

If you are interested in bringing a school group to the Heritage Center you may register online.  Please allow 7 business days for processing your registration.  Once your request has been processed, an invoice and confirmation letter will be emailed to you. 

*Please note that tour dates requested less than four weeks in advance may not be available.

Cancellations must be submitted five days prior to your visit.

There are parking spaces available on Kershaw Street. 

 PAYMENT: Upon your arrival, admission will be charged as you enter the gift shop area.  We only accept cash and check.  Please do not allow your group to leave the bus immediately. Designate one teacher or group representative to meet the tour guide(s), arrange payment, etc.; chaperones paying separately from the group should be directed to the gift shop as well.  After payment is made, the group may ensemble in the gift shop to meet their tour guide(s) prior to beginning their tour.
